A parked car completely disappeared into a sinkhole at a residential complex in Mumbai's Ghatkopar area. This bizarre incident was captured on a video, and it can be seen from the footage that the car was completely swallowed by the sinkhole within seconds. The vehicle in the video appears to be a Hyundai Venue.

As seen in the video, other vehicles parked near the car, including the grey coloured car just next to it, were not affected.

It was later discovered that was a covered well under a parking lot. Traffic police said, "There was a well at the place. Some people covered it with a concrete slab and started parking cars over it." 

This incident occurred due to land subsidence following heavy monsoon rainfall. There were no reports of any injuries.

The video has surfaced on the internet at the time when Mumbai as well as other coastal areas are recording heavy monsoon rainfall.

Moreover, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday predicted heavy rainfall for the city over the weekend. The department had issued an orange alert for Saturday, while a red alert was issued for Sunday. With heavy rainfall over the last few days, the city has witnessed waterlogging in several areas.
