Volvo Reveals the Cabin From the Future With the Concept 26

The idea is to let owners of the autonomous car enjoy and relax once they're inside. Since they won't be driving anymore, there's a lot more they can do. Volvo equipped the concept with a unique driver's seat that has Drive, Create, and Relax modes.

When the car enters autonomous driving mode, the steering wheel retracts and the seat automatically reclines to a more comfortable position. There is also a large tablet-like display that emerges from the dashboard and according to the company, the drivers can use this to watch movies or catch up with shows on streaming services such as Netflix.

Sci-fi movies across decades have envisioned the cars of the future but here we can see Volvo taking things to another level altogether. There is also the relax mode, for drivers who would rather not browse through anything. Volvo has used high-quality materials and modern Scandinavian design to make the interiors even more appealing. There are no specific details available on what is used but we can see that there's premium quality leather, some wood trims and metal accents, to give it that premium feel.

The concept also has a digital instrument cluster, a four-zone climate control system, and a unique infotainment system that is mounted on the center console. The Concept 26, then makes a strong statement for those who want to relax or catch up with other stuff when on the go.
