The Tata Harrier will be launched in India in January 2019 and will take on the likes of the Mahindra XUV500 and even the Jeep Compass. The new Harrier gets the new design language that Tata Motors calls Impact 2.0 like we have seen on the Nexon. It is the longest car in its class and will most certainly appeal to a range of buyers with its 2-litre diesel engine that makes 138 bhp of peak power and 350 Nm of peak toque. The new Tata Harrier will also be the new flagship offering from Tata Motors with the new Land Rover derived Omega Arc platform but lets take a closer look at that design language and see how it makes a first impression.

The Tata Harrier is one of the most anticipated launches from Tata Motors in recent times and hopes are high from the automaker's all-new compact SUV. After multiple teasers and a full exterior reveal of the car, the automaker has finally pulled the wraps on the specifications, dimensions and features list of Harrier that will be going on sale in January 2019. The SUV is based on the newly developed OMEGARC platform and be taking on the Hyundai Creta, Renault Captur, Jeep Compass and the upcoming Nissan Kicks. Tata says the SUV has been tested for 2.2 million kilometres across varying terrains and weather conditions. Mercedes-AMG has revealed the new 2020 AMG GT at the 2018 L.A. Auto Show and the new model has received styling updates along with technological and performance upgrades. Continuing with the Harrier teaser spree, two new video clips have come out revealing more details about the upcoming SUV. The latest teaser videos confirm that the new Tata Harrier SUV will come with a six-speed manual gearbox, while the second video reveals the addition of a cooled glovebox in the centre console.

Codenamed S201, the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza rival is all set to be christened on December 1, 2018. The all-new offering is an eagerly awaited one and is in fact the second SsangYong-based model to go sale in the country. The Mahindra S201 is the Indian automaker's derivative of the SsangYong Tivoli and will be a premium urban offering loaded on tech. Apart from the Brezza, the S201 will also lock horns against the Ford EcoSport, and will be positioned above NuvoSport and TUV300 subcompact SUVs in Mahindra's stable.
