Toyota bZ4X Recall Repair May Take Some Time

- Toyota had recalled every single unit of the bZ4X.
- Toyota had issued the recall over the risk that the wheels of the SUV may come off while driving.
- The company is providing quite a few support services to bZ4X owners.
In June this year, Toyota had issued a recall for its all-new bZ4X electric SUV over the risk that the wheels of the SUV may come off while driving. The Japanese carmaker had recalled every single unit sold and now it has informed the owners of the bZ4X that it might take it a longer time to fix the EV. That said, the company is providing quite a few support services to bZ4X owners until the electric SUV is not handed over to them.
The company is providing a loaner vehicle at no cost to bZ4X owners for the duration their vehicle is under repair and will also reimburse the fuelling cost of the loaner vehicle. Then, the company will also provide a total credit of $ 5000 towards payment of their loan / lease or purchase price of the EV. It will also provide additional time for complimentary charging at all EVgo-owned and operated public stations till December 31, 2024. And finally, Toyota will also provide an extension in the vehicle's warranty based on the period of time the vehicle is not able to be driven due to the recall, from the recall announcement date of June 23, 2022 till the date in the future when the vehicle is repaired.
Since being released, Toyota has sold roughly 2,700 cars around the globe. However, that $42,000 EV has a strange and troubling issue, and Toyota is telling owners to stop driving it immediately. The bolts that keep the wheels and tires securely attached to the vehicle can all come loose, resulting in the wheels literally falling off while you're driving down the road.
