This 2013 Volkswagen Beetle Has Been Converted To An EV With 6,411 BHP

Highlights
The Beetle for decades has been this iconic cute city car, but never it has been remodelled with 4 electric motors that have Axial Flux AC three-phase motors that have 557 bhp each delivering 2,228 bhp continuously and can be pushed to provide 6,411 bhp with a combined peak which has been adapted to the 2013 Beetle which had a TDI diesel engine at one point in time.

It also gets a custom 22 kWh battery pack built by Current Racing. It has a maximum voltage of 800 volts and can charge 20 kW via the CHAdeMO charger installed on the vehicle. The car gets 4 inverters and it is expected to do 400 meters in 7 seconds.
This car isn’t the first one that was built as its makers already wrecked an electric Beetle which was based on the classic model at 235 km/h so that’s why they had to revert to the 2013 spec of the car for this new build, but clearly, they have left no stone untouched.
