The Resurgence of Electric vehicles

It is crazy to imagine a world without electric vehicles nowadays. The fact is, they have revolutionized the automotive industry and allowed us to take a major step towards the future. Initially, the industry was not ready for such a big switch from traditional engines. Around the year 2013, the EV industry saw a resurgence, with people realizing the need for an immediate change in the traditional vehicles.

A major reason for the resurgence
On studying the resurgence, two things can be figured out –
- Tesla unsurprisingly was at the forefront of the resurgence with its models riding the wave of popularity and bringing about a shift.
- The major reason for this resurgence was the several advantages that electric vehicles provided.
No gas required
On average, using electric cars can save up to Rs. 3.00 lakhs for you. If you invest this in applying solar panels in the garage and charging your car in the garage, then you can save even more money.
The world is running thin on resources like natural gas. Electric cars are a great solution to counter this problem and prevent catastrophes.

Safe for driving
Electric cars have a low center of gravity. This means that it offers extra protection to the people inside the car during a collision.
In case of an accident, airbags pop out, and the power supply is cut, reducing the risk of any grave injury and preventing accidents like explosions, which can lead to grave injuries like serious burns or even death.
Ease of driving
One of the best things about electric cars is eliminating the need for the clutch system. They have one long gear for the work.
The kinetic energy released as frictional energy during the application of brakes is directly transferred to the car's batteries for recharging purposes!

Environment Friendly
This is pretty obvious. Usage of these cars ensures that the environment is safe. These cars eliminate emissions that are toxic to the environment. These operate on renewable energy, which saves resources for future generations.
No noise pollution
Firstly, the cars don't have engines, so there are no moving parts there. Secondly, there are no exhausts because there are no emissions. Thirdly, there are very few moving parts in the entire car, eliminating any chances of noise pollution inside out!
Since there are fewer moving parts in an electric car, the need or cost of maintenance goes significantly down. The batteries that accompany the car come with a 6–8-year warranty, after which they can be easily changed.
