Suzuki Launches ATV range in India; Prices Start at Rs. 5.45 Lakh

Japanese two-wheeler manufacture, Suzuki Motorcycles has recently launched two new ATVs (all-terrain vehicles) in India. Marking Suzuki India's entry into the much niche ATV market, two new models - the Ozark 250 and Quadsport Z400, have been priced at Rs. 5.45 and Rs. 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively.

    Japanese two-wheeler manufacture, Suzuki Motorcycles has recently launched two new ATVs (all-terrain vehicles) in India. Marking Suzuki India's entry into the much niche ATV market, two new models - the Ozark 250 and Quadsport Z400, have been priced at Rs. 5.45 and Rs. 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively.

    With its two new all-terrain vehicles, Suzuki Motorcycles India intends to make a strong foothold in this growing market and pave the way for future launches in India. At the event, Suzuki Motorcycle India, Managing Director, Masayoshi Ito said, "With the goal of expanding our product line in India, we have decided to launch two of our popular ATV models in the market, hence showcasing our expertise across various categories."

    Coming to the vehicles itself, the entry level Suzuki Ozark 250 model is apt for leisure activities and is quite suitable for beginners. At the same time, the more powerful Suzuki Quadsport Z400 is the sporty ATV for high-performance off-roading with sporty chassis, torque loaded performance.

    In terms of specifications the Ozark 250 is powered by a 246 cc, 1 cylinder air-cooled, SOHC engine that comes mated to a 5-speed transmission. The front suspension is an independent, double wishbone, coil spring, oil damped unit, while the rear unit is a swingarm type, with coil spring. The front wheels come with twin discs brakes, while the rear wheels are equipped with drum brakes.

    On the other hand the Quadsport Z400 is powered by a 398 cc 4-stroke, 1-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine, which comes paired to the same 5-speed transmission. Quadsport Z400 uses the same suspension system as the Ozark 250, while the breaking duties are taken care of by a twin discs at the front and single discs for the rear wheels.

    In the first phase, Suzuki will sell their ATVs through authorised dealers in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Kolkata, Jodhpur and Hyderabad.
