Seasonal Car Tips

- Treat your car with extra care & attention to ensure its smooth operation
- Avoid situations like car blowouts in hot temperature
- In the summer, keep an eye on the essential car fluid consumables.
With the upshift in temperature and heatwaves in northern and central India, you must be planning a getaway this summer. Just like the energy levels of human agility drop in high temperatures, your vehicle feels the same as well. So, you need to treat your car with extra care and attention for its smooth functioning. Check out these helpful and practical summer season car tips to follow.
Engine Belt:
Take care of the condition of the engine belt as it starts making noises when it becomes loose. Maintain the accurate tension required and replace it if it wears out.

Additional Car for the Tyres:
Heat in the atmosphere changes the level of gas pressure in your car tyres, which might result in increased chances of tyres blowout. Have a regular tyre gas pressure check to ensure the alignment of pressure inflation in all the tyres. Check out the condition of the tyres after a long road trip and replace them if you find treads and bubbles. Keep a spare tyre in your car in case of emergencies.
Maintain the coolness of the coolant system:
Look out for the levels of coolant in your automobile and check the reservoir, hoses, connection points, and joints. Make sure there are no internal leakages in the system. Squeeze the hoses; if they are firm, then the car is cool.
Clean the Car Wiper Blades:
If you live in an area where you get light showers of rain even during the summer, then ensure the condition of your car's wipers is good. The worn out wipers leave scratches and marks on the windshield, which ultimately affects your driving.

Filter the air filter and air conditioner:
You would not want to be stuck in traffic with a non-working air conditioner in your car. But because of the pollution, car air filters, drainage points, or other nozzles get clogged with debris, dust, etc. And if your air conditioner is giving out hot air or has some leakage issues, then it needs some serious auto medication.
Change Essential Fluids:
Auto hydration in the summer is necessary. To avoid engine seizing and overheating, regularly monitor the fluid consumables: radiator coolant, windshield-washer fluids, car oil, engine oil, and power steering fluids.
Buy thick sunshades:
Parking your car in direct contact with sun rays for hours generates a greenhouse effect inside the car cabin, thus boosting the temperatures and giving out heat waves. Buy thick sun shades for all the windows (including the rear window) of your car to protect the dash and rear seats from heating up.
Place an Emergency Kit:
Placing an emergency kit is the most important car tip for summer. Have essential auto tools, a flashlight, a jump starter, ample water, a screwdriver, a hammer, and a first-aid kit with you.
