Royal Enfield has partnered with five custom bike builders across the Asia-Pacific region, including Australian Mark Hawwa, founder of The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride. The idea is to showcase the custom capabilities of Royal Enfield bikes, and to produce some remarkable custom builds, and the work of established builders like Mark Hawwa, Den Dimas, Off Grid Kits, Bandit 9 and Crazy Garage. The builds range from bolt-on kits on the 650 Twins, to the Himalayan, and have been showcased across various markets in the Asia-Pacific region, where Royal Enfield is growing rapidly.

"The custom builds presented in the Asia Pacific markets reinstates that Royal Enfield motorcycles are the perfect canvas for customisation," Royal Enfield's head of business for the Asia-Pacific, Vimal Sumbly said.

"With pure and simple construction making them ideally suited for expressing creativity through unique expression of the best custom builders across the globe. Apart from uniquely interpreting the design language to make beautiful builds," he added.

"Royal Enfield has been pushing the envelope with its custom builds in terms of capabilities as well. We truly believe that our custom motorcycle program gives builders the opportunity to explore their creativity, as well as inspire other local builders and two-wheeled enthusiasts."

Mark Hawwa Royal Enfield Continental GT650 custom

Royal Enfield partnered with Australian Mark Hawwa, the founder of The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride for a bolt-on custom build, working with a Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 to produce a stunning cafe racer. Finished in British Racing Green, with splashes of red and bronze on the bodywork, Hawwa added stainless steel exhausts which not just provide the sound and visual appeal, but also knocked off a massive 14 kg from the stock bike! The custom build was developed without any cutting or welding, and features a seat unit with an integrated taillight, as well as custom YSS suspension.

The Gemini T14 custom Himalayan is built by Indonesia's Thrive Motorcycle

The second custom bike is the Gemini T14, a Bolt on Build project from Indonesia, developed by Den Dimas. The YouTube content creator reached out to custom builder Thrive and commissioned a bolt-on kit that Thrive can now sell to anyone. Jakarta-based Thrive built a custom Royal Enfield Himalayan finished in Dakar Rally-inspired theme. Up front is a pair of side fairings designed to link the Himalayan's windscreen and fuel tank together. At the rear is a single-piece unit that incorporates side panels, a seat pan and rear mudguard.

Smoked Garage Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 Custom

Also from Bali, Indonesia, is builder Smoked Garage's creative vision which introduced Off Grid editions built on the Royal Enfield Himalayan and Interceptor 650. The custom kits will be available only on new motorcycle purchases through Royal Enfield and are limited to 42 motorcycles (21 each), featuring off-road style modifications, including a Scrambler-style build on the Interceptor 650. Each limited edition bike will have a unique serial number, handcrafted, and will come with a custom box, which will contain a special edition book, along with other souvenirs.

Crazy Garage Royal Enfield Continental GT 650RS

South Korean Crazy Garage has a 1980s racing-inspired custom Royal Enfield Continental GT 650, and it's not just a cosmetic build. Builder Kim Chi-Hyun of Crazy Garage is planning to ride the bike at the Korea International Circuit. The bike features uprated S&S Cycle parts, high-compression pistons, a hot cam, a heavy-duty clutch and Dynojet Power Commander tuning. The exhaust is a free-flow system, there's a Dynojet quick-shifter, and Ohlins front and rear suspension added for better handling.
