Porsche has been moving swiftly to get into the electric mobility market and with the Mission E it will accomplish just that. While the launch of the production version of the Mission E is still more than a year away, Porsche has spared no chances to showcase or tease the car. Porsche has been testing the Mission E pre-production cars and we've brought you those spy shots long back but now the company has had enough of spy shots and has teased a the Mission E in the prototype guise. The pictures of course show a lot more of the car and yes, it offers a preview as to what the road-going model will actually look like.

From what we can see, the shape of the Mission E prototype is actually identical to the concept, sans the suicide doors. The styling is more on the lines of the Panamera and even the 911 and this makes it quite an attractive looking sedan which has a fastback tail.

According to Porsche, the production Mission E will have over 600 horsepower, which will allow the electric sedan to reach 100 kmph in less than 3.5 seconds, and that's very quick. It'll be capable of driving over 500 km on a single charge and will be able to charge upto 80 per cent in just 15 minutes but these specifications are only applicable to the top-end version.

The production version of the Mission E concept will be built by Porsche in Stuttgart and the company plans to build 20,000 Porsche units per year but if the demand goes up then it'll be able to cater to it by expanding production. In fact, the Porsche EV will be launched in India in early 2020 and will come to the country as a completely built unit.
