Next-Gen Audi A3 Spied Undisguised In Europe

The next-generation Audi A3 looks absolutely stunning as it follows Audi's latest design language and it looks all spruced up and ready to go. A spy shot of the new generation Audi A3 has emerged for the very first time without any camouflage, which is why we think it is the production ready model. Though the car is partially wearing a body cover, the spy images that have surfaced online give a clear view of its face.

The first thing you'll notice is of course the wider grille, which has become part of the Audi DNA now. It comes with new larger pentagon-shaped air intakes neatly integrated into the lower corners of the front bumper. The uncovered area of the prototype also teases its sculpted doors and there are some noticeable changes like the wheel arches which now look a bit more flared and the shoulder looks a bit more pronounced.

The next-gen Audi A3 was earlier spotted undergoing testing.

The new Audi A3 is underpinned by the same MQB platform that spawns a slew of models of the Volkswagen Group. Under the hood, expect it to get the same 1.4-litre petrol and 2-litre diesel engines, updated to meet the BS6 standards. We expect the new A3 to arrive in India in the second half of 2020 and it will be a direct rival to the Mercedes-Benz CLA and even battle the likes of the B-Class to some extent especially when it comes to price.
