Much like what was being speculated, Yamaha India launched the FZ-S FI Version 2.0 and FZ FI Version 2.0 today. The FZ-S FI Version 2.0 and FZ FI Version 2.0 will cost Rs 76,250 and Rs 78,250 (ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively. The bikes have received both, styling and mechanical upgrades.

In terms of design, the bikes get a whole lot of refurbished features, including new headlamps, new silencer, new mudguard, reworked fuel tank and a different registration plate. However, the biggest change is the introduction of a fuel-injection system and a slightly reduced displacement capacity. Compared to the previous versions' 153cc, the bikes now offer 149cc. This reduction in displacement has also affected the power output figures, which have now come down to 12.92bhp and 12.8Nm of torque from 13.8bhp and 13.6Nm. While the performance has gone down a little, the bikes' fuel efficiency has improved by 14%, and the overall emission has reduced by 33%. Also, the new bikes have shed 3kg of weight, the other reason for their improved mileage.

The company claims that tyres' rubber now features new tread patterns and belt design, which improve puncture resistance and grip on road. The tyre size, however, remains unchanged.
