NueGo Launches New Inter-City Premium Electric Bus Service Between Indore, Bhopal

Green Cell Mobility sub-brand NueGo has commenced intercity electric bus services between Indore and Bhopal with Delhi-Chandigarh and Delhi-Dehradun to also commence soon.

Green Cell Mobility brand NueGo has commenced an intercity premium coach service in India. The service has commenced between Bhopal and Indore with the company planning to also offer its services between Delhi-Chandigarh and Delhi-Dehradun soon. The service is operated entirely using all-electric buses with NueGo saying the coaches have a range of up to 250km per charge.

NueGo says it is the first company to offer a premium electric intercity bus service offering passengers premium lounge access in select cities, luggage management services and food and beverage services both on-board and in its lounges. The company says that the coaches are sanitised before every trip with the driver to also undergo a breath analyser test. Additionally, the coaches come with live tracking feature, geo-location and CCTV surveillance.

Speaking on the occasion, Satish Mandhana, Director, GreenCell Mobility said, “NueGo aims to promote usage of sustainable public transportation with zero tailpipe emission on the inter-city routes. NueGo will provide a holistic travel experience with its World Class electric coach services.”

The Bhopal to Indore service and vice versa will initially be available at a cost of Rs 349 per seat with coaches running on an hourly basis from each city.

Tata electric bus

Electric buses have also been gaining popularity as means of intra-city transport in recent years.

The company says that its buses have completed two lakh kilometres of testing on Indian roads prior to the company offering its intercity service. The coach also undergoes 25 stringent safety checks covering both mechanical and electrical inspections.

NeuGo says it plans to operate a fleet of 350 electric buses in the country offering intercity travel between 30 cities with the company’s partners maintaining daily route operations.
