MV Agusta Brutale 1000 Nurburgring Edition Announced

- Only 150 units if limited edition model will be built
- Based on the standard MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR
- Brutale 1000 RR Nurburgring Edition sheds 8 kg weight with carbon fibre
Italian motorcycle brand MV Agusta has unveiled a limited edition model, a modified version of the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 hypernaked. The MV Agusta Brutale 1000 Nurburgring Edition, as it's called, is named after the iconic German racetrack, and MV Agusta focussed primarily on shedding weight, so there are a lot of carbon fibre bits on the bike. So everything that can be swapped with carbon fibre bits has been replaced, including the airbox, wiring cover, clutch cover and air intakes.

Only 150 units of the limited edition model will be built, each costing 39,900 Euros.
The MV Agusta Nurburgring is built in partnership with the historic German racetrack, and the biggest change to the limited edition model is the introduction of BST carbon fibre wheels. The focus was on saving weight, and the bike loses 3 kg over the standard Brutale 1000 RR, with 183 kg dry weight. Complementing the hypernaked's styling, there's Ohlins electronic suspension, as well as steering damper, as well as Brembo Stylema calipers. Just like the standard Brutale 1000RR, the 998 cc, 16-valve, inline four-cylinder engine makes 205 bhp at 13,000 rpm and 116.5 Nm of peak torque at 11,000 rpm.

The MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR Nurburgring Edition features a lot of carbon fibre elements, including carbon fibre wheels.
MV Agusta is also offering a racing kit, with a WSB inspired 4-2-1 titanium Arrow exhaust which helps shed 6 more kg, and combined with the ECU, boosts peak power to 213 bhp at 13,200 rpm. Only 150 units of the Nurburgring Edition will be made, each individually numbered with a specific plate placed on the right air intake. Prices are listed at 39,900 Euros (just under Rs. 35 lakh), although none of these are likely to make it to India. As things stand today, MV Agusta currently doesn't have any operations in India.
