Meyers Manx Reveals Manx V Prototype
Highlights
Meyers Manx has introduced their new Manx V prototype. Now, for those who don't know about this lovely and modest dune buggy, the Manx was produced between 1964 and 1971.
Based on the shortened VW Bettle's chassis, the Manx was quite a spirited buggy which eventually made it to the street.
The new car, the Manx V as it is called, draws inspiration from the original model and so you can see the tubular frame chassis, a composite body and 17- / 18-inch alloy wheels. The electric dune buggy gets its power from a 10 kWh LifeMnPO4 battery which powers an electric motor that provides it with 83.6 bhp. It is light too and can easily reach a top speed of 100km/h.
The Manx V will see the light of production and we might just see it plying on the road soon.
