Key Highlights
- The iconic Mercedes off-roader was put inside a giant red pill
- The red pill and blue pill sequence is an important part of the Matrix
- Matrix Resurrections hits the theatres on December 22
As the Matrix franchisee returns to the silver screen later this week with its latest iteration "Matrix Resurrections", for its premier the team at Warner Brothers teamed up with Mercedes Benz which put a G-Wagon AMG G63 inside a massive red pill. The Matrix Resurrections is the sequel to the Matrix Revolutions which came out in 2003.

The display is massive with being 39.3 feet long and 13.1 feet wide and 11.4 feet tall. It could potentially accommodate two G-Wagons. The iconic car will be featured heavily in the fourth iteration of the Matrix, though it is not the G63 AMG model but rather the more affordable G550. The car is featured in a fast chase with the rebels helping Neo and Trinity escape the Matrix.
This comes at a time when Daimler and Mercedes Benz are trying to reinvent the G-Wagon for the era of electric cars. It has already showcased an electric G-class prototype which will likely be called the EQG which was shown off at IAA Mobility. That car is slated to go on sale in 2024.
