F1: McLaren Helps Out Bullied 10-Year-Old Fan

The McLaren F1 team is followed by fans the world around, even young kids follow the team. After all, it is the third most successful team in the sport after Ferrari and Williams. In an incident that was revealed on Twitter - a mother posted photos of her son with cuts and bruises after a bullying incident. The bullying also involved the stealing of a McLaren hat which was amongst the favourite possessions of the young boy. It seems like the team got wind of the incident and it had some good news for the young 10-year-old.

"To all the kind and wonderful fans out there who have supported this strong young man, we just want to let you know that, together with Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo, we've got him covered. Bullying is a scourge and we stand with you all against it," the McLaren account tweeted.
In fact, Daniel Ricciardo himself tweeted in response to the incident. "Sorry to hear this, but don't stress buddy. Makes you look tough! Bullies are the weak ones, don't forget that. I'll sort you out with a new hat and some other goodies. Stay up lil homie," tweeted the 31-year-old Aussie who joined McLaren this year from Renault.

In the tweet, McLaren plans on sorting out the youngster with a hat amongst other goodies. Ricciardo has been hired as the face of the team which is why it is nice that he tweeted, even though his teammate Lando Norris was just referenced in the official statement by the team.
