- If a driver drives without a driving license, you can be charged with Rs 5000 as a penalty or three months of community service.
- If a driver drives the car under the influence of drugs or intoxication, s/he can be charged with Rs. 10,000 or six months of prison time. Based on the intensity of the same, you will be charged Rs. 15,000 or 3 months of prison time.
- In case of over speeding, there are various rates, such as for LMVs, there will be a charge of Rs.1000 and for MPVs, you can be charged up to Rs. 5000.
- In case you violate traffic rules and regulations, you will be charged Rs. 5000.
- In case of a juvenile offense, you will be charged Rs. 25,000 with up to 3 years of prison time, even though it may lead to the registration being cancelled.
