Upcoming: Hyundai Grand i10 Facelift Coming To India In Early 2017

- Updates to the Grand i10 facelift will be largely cosmetic
- The interior may also receive subtle changes & new features
- The new Grand i10 will borrow the current model's engine range
The Hyundai Grand i10 first arrived in India in 2014 and since then has been selling pretty well. It in fact was a car that ushered in a new segment into the Indian car market and in fact stirred things around. Yes, till date there has been no update or facelift of the Grand i10 and yet it gets its fair share of attention. Hyundai has managed to sell more than 1 lakh units of the car from April to December 2016. So, the car still has a huge market and which is why a facelift will bring in more moolah. Hyundai will launch the facelift of the Grand i10 in the first half of 2017.

The new Hyundai Grand i10's cabin will retain the overall design, though it will get new upholstery, light illumination, an updated MID unit, and possibly automatic climate control and a touchscreen infotainment system on the top-end variants. We might also see Hyundai bringing in some changes on the safety equipment front. The driver side airbag is already available as part of standard equipment, but we might see ABS being added to the standard equipment kitty.

We expect Hyundai to introduce the car in the first half of 2017 and it will be priced between Rs. 5 lakh - Rs. 7 lakh. The facelift is a much needed one as Maruti Suzuki is gearing up the Ignis for launch which will come under a similar price bracket. For all we know, Hyundai is just playing the waiting game to see what the Ignis has to offer. There's more competition on its way this year as the new-gen Swift will be launched too, so we wait to see what Hyundai has to offer.
