How To Correctly Drive On A Six-Lane Highway?

Some of the basics to follow when driving on six-lane highways are listed further for suitable help. It would help other vehicles to judge and have correct timing on changing lanes or going forward to another vehicle. Whether you are an expert or beginner driving the car, it is better to follow the rules.
Get through the right entry point
Before you start driving on the highway, make sure to do the right entry, which is tricky, and get the right one. Start on the highway, drive slowly, and keep a check on your speed. Here, you should be careful of big vehicles and trucks and try to go by the first lane. Try to stick to it throughout the highway drive with whichever lane you take. This would also help to gather speed and maintain it if you are on the same lane throughout. It is not suggested to try to overtake over vehicles on a highway and try to control speed in the best way possible.

Drive on the correct lane
While on highways, you have to wait to take the speed, and once you take it, you can be ready to change lanes. But for beginners, it is important to be extra careful when changing lanes. The first lane is meant for the slow and entry vehicles. The two-wheelers should try to be in the first lane. If you need to drive for a long distance, it is better to avoid the first lane. If you wish to overtake on the right side, make sure to be careful and follow traffic guidelines carefully. Check the number of cars coming and then decide to overtake on the right take when driving on six-lane highway roads.

Who can use the second and third lanes?
The second lane is for vehicles speeding above 90 kilometres per hour. Though there are no strict rules, it is mainly for those travelling a long distance and maintaining a constant speed. If you are not comfortable with the third lane, it is better to be on the second lane and try to maintain speed.
The third lane is mainly for the ones overtaking on the highway. It is for the ones who are driving at 100 kilometres per hour and have a steady hand to drive the car. If they wish to come back to the second lane from the third, they should finish overtaking the vehicle and then change the lane. One has to be careful when changing the lane and know the tricks to follow to do it right and safely. The third lane is a preferred choice for the trucks and buses, and therefore, one should be careful with the speed, especially when changing from one lane to another.

Get correct exit point
There is nothing like having a safe ending to your highway ride and journey, and this is done when you take the right exit point on the lane. As you reach the destination and leave with 1 kilometre or 500 meters, make sure that you take the first lane before you turn. Try to maintain moderate speed and try to maintain suitable distance when vehicles that are also planning to take the first lane upon coming close to its destination. During the exit on a highway, you should never mistake overtaking vehicles. The turn indicators to specify your move would help you better.
The cars which are riding close to you should know your destination when planning to change the lane on the six highways. Before going to the second lane, make sure to inform it through indication to your fellow riders, and it would be safe to travel on the lane. As a responsible citizen, one has to be careful about oneself, and other driving near to him and should not take any sudden turns on the highway. It is better to educate others and let them carefully before you wish to take the turn, maintaining a safe distance between all the vehicles close to you.
