Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest two-wheeler manufacturer by volume, has set a new manufacturing milestone from its Haridwar plant, with cumulative production crossing 2.5 crore units. The Hardwar manufacturing facility, commissioned in April 2008, has achieved the unique production milestone in just over 11 years of operation, and has set a new industry record in the process. The Hardwar manufacturing facility of Hero MotoCorp is also the world's largest two-wheeler manufacturing plant, with an installed capacity to produce 9,500 two-wheelers per day.

The production of 25 million two-wheelers at our Haridwar plant in such a short period of time since its commencement of operation bears testimony to the dedication and competency of the team. The Haridwar manufacturing facility of Hero MotoCorp produces several popular models of Hero's commuter motorcycle range, from the Hero HF Deluxe, Hero Splendor+, Hero Splendor iSmart 110, Hero Passion Pro and Hero Passion 110. The Haridwar facility also boasts of having the world's largest green roof, spread over 4,500 square metres. The plant produces 1.95 MW of solar power, has zero liquid discharge and a lake for rain water harvesting.

Hero MotoCorp currently has seven manufacturing facilities around the world, including five in India, and one each in Bangladesh and Colombia. The Indian manufacturing facilities are located at Gurugram and Dharuhera in Haryana, Neemrana in Rajasthan, Halol in Gujarat, and Haridwar in Uttarakhand. The company's eighth manufacturing facility is coming up in Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh. The combined installed annual production capacity of Hero MotoCorp is currently around 90 lakh units.

In 2018-19, Hero MotoCorp despatched 78,20,754 two-wheeler units in the financial year. In the midst of an unprecedented slowdown in the auto industry, Hero MotoCorp reported a 10 per cent decline in profit in the first quarter of the current financial year. The company's consolidated revenue from operations in the first half of the current financial year stood at Rs. 15,846.57 crore, a decline of 12.3 per cent.
