GTA Spano Sets The World Record For Fastest Lego Model

- The original GTA Spano has an 8-litre twin-turbocharged V10 engine
- The Lego scale model is powered by electric motors instead
- It is made out of 3,880 blocks and with realistic interiors too
Lego's can bring out the child in most people but apart from being toys, they are serious business when built to scale. Spania GTA and BuWizz recently collaborated to build a 1:8 scale model of the GTA Spano which is packed with electric motors - and this is now the fastest Lego model in the world.
The scale model has a maximum speed of 36.5 kmph which may seem like peanuts compared to the real Spano that can do 321 kmph but then again that car gets a hulking twin-turbocharged 8.0 liter V10 engine that produces 912.3 bhp and has 1,200-newton meters of torque. Obviously, the scale model can't fit in the V10 though it does have 10 BuWizz electric motors to run it. It even has added five electric motors controlling other vehicle functions.

The five BuWizz 3.0 Pro controllers handle all the processing which is controllable through either a customisable iOS or Android app or Bluetooth connectivity. The screen can also display critical vehicle information such as power, acceleration and even cornering G-forces. The Lego model looks basically like a miniature, actually compressed car, which has been made out of 3880 blocks and has detailed interiors as well. Lego models often stay true realism. Recently, Lego also announced a model of the Batmobile from the upcoming Batman movie. It has also announced a new Toyota Supra scale model.
