Geneva Motor Show 2017: Highlights From Day One

It is that time of the year when almost all the automotive manufacturers in the world set up shop in the beautiful city of Geneva for the famed Geneva Motor Show. 2017 will see the 87th edition of the Geneva Motor Show, which will be host to some of the hottest car unveilings and launches of the year. From an Indian perspective, Tata Motors' new sub-brand, TAMO, has showcased its first ever model at the Geneva Motor Show. 7th and 8th of March, 2017 will be the press days and the Motor Show will be open to the public from 9th March to 19th March, 2017.
Apart from the new TAMO Racemo, Tata Motors has also unveiled the all-new Tata Nexon subcompact SUV and the new Tiago-based sub-4 metre sedan Tata Tigor, Both these car will be launched in India later this year.
In addition to that Suzuki has also unveiled the new-generation Swift hatchback, which will also come to India later this year. That said the car showcased at Geneva is the European-spec version so it will be more feature-rich and come with more powerful engine.
As for other carmakers - Volkswagen also took wraps off the good-looking Arteon at the Geneva show. Built on VW's Modular Transverse Matrix (MQB), the Volkswagen Arteon will be positioned above the Passat. On the other hand, Lamborghini has unveiled the new Huracan Performante as well.
