Highlights

  • The Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro gets a 6.5-litre V12 hybrid engine
  • The engine makes in excess of 1,100 bhp
  • Only 25 units of the Valkyrie AMR Pro will be manufactured

We all were gushing when Aston Martin showed off the Valkyrie, which was supposed to be the most extreme Aston Martin ever. We say suppose, because the British company has now showcased the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro, which is an extremer track-only variant of the already extreme Valkyrie. Aston Martin still hasn't revealed complete details about the car but says that it weighs 1,000 kg and the power output exceeds 1,100 bhp. This means that there is more than 1 bhp to move every kilogram of the car, which translates to mental, unimaginable, explosive power-to-weight ratio. Behind all this mental power is a 6.5-litre V12 hybrid engine which is naturally aspirated, of course.

Aston Martin says that the top speed of the track only Valkyrie AMR Pro is a whopping 362 kmph. The 0-100 kmph sprint time hasn't been revealed yet. It is the only car derived from a homologated road car to achieve lateral acceleration in excess of 3G forces.

Be ready to let your jaw drop further! The Valkyrie AMR Pro can generate a downforce of up to 1,000 kg which is equivalent to its weight. Aston Martin says that the inconceivable weight of the car is thanks to use of ultra-lightweight carbon-fibre components, polycarbonate windscreen, carbon-fibre wishbones for the suspension, race-spec seats and a lighter exhaust system as well. In addition, Aston Martin has removed unnecessary equipment such as the heater/de-mister and the infotainment screen.

Here's the kicker though. The first Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro will hit the roads, rather the tracks only in 2020. The company will manufacture only 25 units of the Valkyrie AMR Pro and in case you are rich enough to buy one (The prices aren't out yet, but it will be beyond astronomical) you are late to the party. All 25 models of the Valkyrie AMR Pro have been already sold out.
