Elon Musk Promises To Build Electric Pick-Up Truck After Tesla Model Y

- The Tesla electric pick-up truck will most likely be launched by 2020
- Musk revealed his plan for an electric pick-up truck earlier this year
- Tesla is currently working on Model Y crossover SUV
Tesla CEO, Elon Musk is known for keeping his promises. While he proved it with the Tesla Model S, Tesla Roadster and also with the Tesla Semi Electric Truck, Musk has promised something even bigger and grander. The 46-year-old tweeted to his followers asking for advice on how the electric car-makers can improve. To this, one twitter user asked for an electric pick-up truck. And Elon Musk being Elon Musk, happily obliged, and confirmed that the company will start working on an electric pick-up truck once Model Y goes on sale by end of 2019.

On Tuesday, Elon Musk tweeted expressing his gratitude to all the Tesla owners around the world for their continuous support to the new company that was predicted by experts to be a failure. The Chief Executive, who is busy on the Model Y currently, will start work on the new pick-up electric truck most likely by 2020. If you remember, Musk had shared a teaser image of a pick-up truck in November this year, while unveiling the Tesla Semi-Electric Truck and the Tesla Roadster. Many predict that this is the same pick-up truck that will share its underpinnings with the Semi-Truck.

While Musk did not reveal details about the upcoming electric pick-up truck, he did suggest that it will be similar to the size of a Ford F-150, adding that he will also include a game-changing feature. Musk also requested his followers to suggest cool features that they would like in the new electric pick-up truck.
