Highlights

Remember the 56-year-old man from Detroit who was never late to work and had perfect attendance despite having to walk 21 miles to work each day for the last 10 years? He started covering his 23 miles of commute to work on foot after his Honda broke down in 2005.

James Robertson finally has a car, thanks to a Ford dealer. James' story had been making waves across the interweb and had also resulted in a crowd funding initiative on GoFundMe to raise $5,000 to help him buy a new car.

Interestingly, even though the campaign has raised over $300,000, James received a car without touching the money raised for him. The Detroit Free Press says Suburban Ford, Sterling Heights, MI, upon hearing his touching story decided to gift James a 2015 Ford Taurus. The 2015 Taurus is offered with 3 engine options, i.e. a 3.5L Ti-VCT V6, a 3.5L EcoBoost V6, and a 2.0L EcoBoost I4. It also gets a 6-speed automatic gearbox as standard.
