Datsun redi-GO And Go+ Will Now Be Available At Canteen Store Department

- Datsun redi-GO and GO+ will now be sold through CSD as well
- The cars will be available with special offers and other benefits
- Benefits include priority delivery, VAT exemption & other consumer offers
According to the official statement released by the company, with this outreach, Datsun India will bring the redi-GO, and the GO+, closer to these special consumers from the armed forces and thereby enhancing the overall Datsun brand experience in India.
Commenting on the same, Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India said, "It's always been our endeavour to enhance the overall brand experience for our customers. Extending the Datsun redi-GO and Datsun GO+ under CSD along with our other existing Nissan and Datsun models is another step to provide one more reason for our customers to take home their favourite vehicle topped with exclusive offers."

As for the cars, the new Datsun redi-GO has made quite an impact in the entry level car segment since its launch. Based on the same CMF-A platform as the Renault Kwid, the redi-GO comes with unique design and styling, decent performance, and low cost of ownership. We reviewed the car a couple of months back and found it to be an easily manoeuvrable compact urban car. It is powered by the same 799cc three-cylinder petrol engine from the Kwid that churns out a maximum of 53bhp and develops a peak torque of 72Nm, while mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

As for the Datsun GO+ MPV or as the company likes to call it 'Family Wagon,' it is based on the GO hatchback and has been in the market for a longer time. We have driven it as well and it's more or less just a streched version of the GO hatchback. In fact, the GO+ shares its powertrain with its hatchback sibling and the 1.2-litre petrol engine is capable of churning out 67bhp and develops a peak torque of 104Nm. Transmitting power to the front wheels of the car is a 5-speed manual gearbox.
