BMW Motorrad Updates the 'R1200' Range of Its Motorcycles Internationally

BMW Motorrad has announced few updates for its top of the line 'R1200' range of motorcycles. The liquid-cooled boxer engines which are fitted in the R1200 range will now get a judder damper on the transmission output shaft and the transmission shaft bearing. There will also be an On Board Diagnostics indicator lamp (OBD) on the instrumentation panel.

The two-wheeler department of the BMW Group has announced few updates for its top of the line 'R1200' range of motorcycles. The liquid-cooled boxer engines which are fitted in the R1200 range will now get a judder damper on the transmission output shaft and the transmission shaft bearing. There will also be an On Board Diagnostics indicator lamp (OBD) on the instrumentation panel, which is actually a requirement to meet Euro IV norms for two-wheelers. Also, all the motorcycles in the R1200 range will be fitted with sidelights as well.

The instrumentation panel has been revised and there have been additions to the list of optional accessories. For example, a customer can now get his/her motorcycle fitted with a crash bar on which cylinder protectors can be mounted. BMW Motorrad has also introduced a 'Triple-Black' Edition of the RS1200 GS. As the name suggests, the entire motorcycle is done up in various shades of black.

All the three models mentioned above will now get ABS Pro and Dynamic Brake Lights as optional accessories (In conjunction with the "Riding Modes Pro" option). Apart from that, the R1200 RT model line will have two new colour options to choose from as well. The new colour options are Carbon Black Metallic and Alpine White. The R1200 R will also get the same optional extras along with a new 'Racing Red' colour scheme. While the R1200 RS gets a new two-tone colour scheme of Light White and Magellan Metallic Matte Grey.
