Bajaj Chetak Electric Scooter Now Available In 20 Cities

Bajaj Auto has doubled its Bajaj Chetak electric scooter network in India by adding New Delhi, Mumbai, and Goa to the list of locations where it is available, thus retailing in 20 cities now. Bajaj had previously opened bookings for Chetak Electric in 8 cities during 2021. In 2022, the figure has increased to 12 cities including- Coimbatore, Madurai, Kochi, Kozhikode, Hubli, Visakhapatnam, Nashik, Vasai, Surat, Delhi, Mumbai, and Mapusa. However, the waiting period for Bajaj Chetak Electric is 4 – 8 weeks.

The Chetak is available in two variants - Urbane and Premium

Rakesh Sharma, Executive Director, Bajaj Auto said, “Chetak's success has been built on the quality of a thoroughly tested, dependable product. An on-ground network of sales and service reduces the anxiety of a customer venturing into an unfamiliar category such as electric scooters. Our plan is to double Chetak's network in the coming few weeks to accommodate the high demand.”

Design and finish are Chetak Electric's biggest strengths.

Prospective customers can book the Bajaj Chetak Electric on the company's website with the model priced at Rs. 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Premium variant. The Chetak is offered in two variants - Urbane and Premium. Power comes from a 3.8 kW electric motor that produces 5 bhp and 16.2 Nm of peak torque. The 3 kWh IP67 lithium-ion battery pack allows for a range of 95 km (in Eco mode) on a single charge, and a top speed of 70 kmph. The Bajaj Chetak Electric can be fully charged in about 6 to 8 hours.
