Audi RS6 Performance Launch Date Revealed

- The Audi RS6 Performance will be launched on 14th March 2018
- It gets a 4.0-litre V8 petrol engine with twin-turbochargers
- The top speed of the RS6 Performance could be set at 305 kmph
Audi has announced that it will be launching the RS6 Performance in India on 14th March 2018, which is barely 10 days from now. The RS 6 Performance is one mental Audi wagon, which packs in more heat than the RS6 Avant, which is already on sale in India. The RS 6 Performance gets a 4.0-litre petrol V8 which gets two turbochargers, taking the power output to 597 bhp as compared to the RS6 Avant's 552 bhp. The peak torque output is 700 Nm but the engine offers an 'overboost' function, which offers a temporary boost of 50 Nm of torque, taking the total torque output to 750 Nm. Should you ask about the acceleration, the RS6 Performance does the 0-100 kmph sprint in 3.7 seconds. Mind you, this is a 5-seater wagon and weighs more than two tonnes.
(Audi RS6 Performance interior)One can also opt for a carbon-ceramic brake sets and get the top speed electronically set at 305 kmph instead of the boring, regular 250 kmph. Imagine an estate car doing those speeds! The engine is mated to an 8-speed tiptronic transmission and Audi's Quattro or AWD is standard. Other features include climate control, panoramic sunroof, LED headlamps, electric seats and so on and so forth. The RS6 Performance could also get 21-inch cast Aluminium wheels instead of 19-inch alloys on the RS6 Avant.
(Audi RS6 Performance rear)The Audi RS6 Performance does not have a rival in India as vehicles with estate/wagon body types are not exactly popular. But we reckon that the Volvo V90 and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain could be potential rivals. Even then, they could not possibly match the explosive performance of the Audi RS6 Performance.
