A Few Facts To Know About Traffic Fines For Gujarat

It is a fact that even being a model city of sheer development, Gujarat is not really out of the list when it comes to the matter of road accidents. As per the data based on the report provided by the Times of India, in the year 2018, there were as many as 7966 fatal accidents. Since then, the number has been on the rise.
Hence, the Gujarat state transport department needed to enact a law that would be strict enough to make every individual obey the law. The State Government revised the Motor Vehicles Act of 1988 to ensure that higher fines were collected for various types of offences in Gujarat.

Conclusion
According to information delivered by the Parliament of India, the number of accidents and road mishaps in specific areas in the nation came down by roughly 9% after implementation of the new Act. Gujarat also saw such cases coming down by a stellar 22%. The accident rates in Gujarat are now on the lower side and the stricter rules are certainly a reason for the same.
