The new Triumph Tiger 1200 is powered by the 1,160 cc, inline-three cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The motor gets a T-plane triple crank with an uneven firing order that promises to enhance low-end tractability and responsiveness. It gets a lightweight low maintenance shaft drive. The motor has also been optimised for a more responsive mid and top-end power delivery, along with improved acceleration. Triumph also says the engine offers a more characterful and distinctive exhaust note. The three-pot mill produces 147 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 130 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm.
