India Kawasaki Motors has launched the 2022 Kawasaki Z650 at a price of Rs. 6.24 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle will be available in a new 'Candy Lime Green Type 3' colour and will be available in showroom August onwards. Deliveries of the motorcycle will begin in September 2021. Apart from the new colour scheme and the new price, the motorcycle stays the same in terms of specifications. Kawasaki recently launched the 2022 Ninja 650 in India as well. The Ninja 650 too gets two new colour schemes and is now priced at Rs. 6.61 lakh (ex-showroom).

The 2022 Kawasaki Z650 continues to get the same 649 cc parallel-twin engine as before. The motor makes 67 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 64 Nm of peak torque at 6,700 rpm. The motorcycle gets a 6-speed gearbox along with a slipper clutch. The motorcycle gets 41 mm telescopic forks up front, with a travel of 125 mm and a monoshock with a travel of 130 mm, with preload adjustment. In terms of braking, the motorcycle gets 300 mm twin petal discs up front with a dual-piston calliper and a single 220 mm petal disc at the rear with a single piston calliper.

The motorcycle continues to get the same features like a 4.3-inch TFT instrument console, smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth and Kawasaki's 'Rideology' app connectivity as well. The motorcycle's design is sharp and makes use of Kawasaki's Sugomi design ideology, wherein the motorcycle is believed to have an aura of its own and gives off positive vibes.
