2015 KTM Duke 390 Launched With Few Updates
Highlights
KTM, the Austrian bikemaker, that had launched the RC 390 last year, has now silently introduced the 2015 model of its highly popular bike - the 390 in the country. The company has added a slipper clutch to its naked motorcycle . Just so you know, a slipper clutch limits the effects of engine braking when a rider slows down in corners.
Along with a slipper clutch, the 2015 model also gets LED turn signals and RC-inspired handlebar grip. The company has also added plastic cladding to the upside down front fork and the rear monoshock for protecting the bike against dirt. Despite all the aforementioned changes, the company hasn't changed the price of the bike. It, still, comes at Rs 1.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Interestingly, the company has also increased the service interval for the Duke 390 from 5,000Km to 7,500Kms, which will ultimately cut down the overall service cut for buyers.
Since it's just a model year change with a few more features, there are no mechanical changes made to the bike. It continues to derive its power from a single-cylinder, 373cc engine that churns out a maximum power output of 44bhp @ 9,500rpm and 35Nm @ 7250rpm.
