Sources at Cogencis have said that Indian car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to increase the production of the Celerio from 6000 units per month to 7500 units from July this year.

To fix the demand, Maruti Suzuki will need to increase production, but since the Indian car manufacturer imports the Automatic manual transmission, an option available in the Celerio, from the Italian company Magneti Marelli, the process will take some time. Currently the waiting period for the Celerio is 4 to 5 months.

Maruti knows that the increase in production will take off gradually and hence have doubled the order to Magneti Marelli. The Italian systems manufacturer currently provides 1000 units on a monthly basis and the tally will increase to 3000 units per month from October 2014.
