Honda CR-V, Accord Being Recalled For Airbag Replacement in India
Honda Cars India Ltd, today, announced that it would replace the passenger side air bag inflator of 575 units of the CR-V (manufactured in 2004) and driver side air bag inflator of 10,805 units of the Accord manufactured from 2003 to 2007.

Honda Cars India Ltd, today, announced that it would replace the passenger side air bag inflator of 575 units of the CR-V (manufactured in 2004) and driver side air bag inflator of 10,805 units of the Accord manufactured from 2003 to 2007. In addition to the aforementioned cars, the company will also replace the passenger side airbag inflator of 1 unit of Civic that was manufactured in 2004.
Though there has been no reporting of any incidents related to this part, the Japanese carmaker is carrying out the part replacement to avoid any mishaps. The replacement would be carried out at HCIL dealerships across India, at no cost, from 4th June 2015 in a phased manner, and consumers will be contacted by the company directly.
The customers can also check if their car comes under this by submitting their 17 character alpha-numeric Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the special microsite which has been created on the company's website (www.hondacarindia.com).
