India's most prestigious Motor Show- the Auto Expo is around the corner, and Hero MotoCorp has unveiled the five new models, which includes two motorcycles (Hero Xtreme and Hero HX250R), two scooters (Hero Dash and Hero Leap) and a diesel-hybrid motorcycle concept (Hero RNT). All these models will be showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo.
The Hero Xterme will be the first model among the rest to be launched in the country. Despite being based on the existing CBZ Xtreme, the new Xtreme manages to look very different. Wearing new LED tail-lamps, part-digital speedometer and rear discs, the Xterme appears to be more rugged, robust and masculine than it has ever been. The new model also has the same Honda sourced 149.2cc, single cylinder, air-cooled engine, found in the existing CBZ extreme. This powertrain belts out a peak power of 15.2bhp.
The HX250R is a sports bike, which will be positioned alongside the ZMR and the Karizma. The bike will come with a 249cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected single cylinder and DOHC engine that according to Hero will thrill the sports bikers out there.
Carrying a stylish and truly masculine personality, the all new Hero Dash scooter will be a male-centric scooter. This scooter will be powered with a new 111cc, forced air-cooled, single-cylinder, 8.45bhp engine.
The Hero Leap is the first hybrid scooter under the Hero MotoCorp umbrella, featuring the advanced range-extender technology. This technology enables the 124cc petrol unit to derive charge from an electric motor generator, when batteries are discharged. The Leap is expected to deliver class-leading fuel efficiency.
The other scooter unveiled by the company is the all new Hero RNT concept, which is basically an electrically run motorcycle. This bike is expected to return great fuel efficiency, and will have various exciting features including two-wheel drive.
