The millionth Ducati has rolled off the production line at the company's historic Borgo Panigale factory and was handed over to the lucky client by Claudio Domenicali, CEO, Ducati Motor Holding.

The bike's owner, Ernesto Passoni, a 47 year-old, while awaiting delivery of the bike he ordered from a dealer, was informed that his would be the millionth Ducati to be produced. It was the naked Monster 1200 S that came off the production line and is customised with a laser serigraph on the top handlebar bracket showing the chronological number reached by production at Borgo Panigale.

"Between 1946 and today we have designed, built and delivered one million dreams that have become reality to Ducatisti. To deliver the millionth bike produced directly into the hands of a passionate Ducatista is an incredible feeling and an incentive to continue along our growth path." stated Claudio Domenicali, CEO, Ducati Motor Holding

The first Ducati Monster was presented in 1992 at the Cologne trade show and the Ducati family continues to grow. The Monster 1200 is equipped with the 1198 Testastretta engine, derived from the Ducati Superbike family. It comes with an innovative seat height adjustment system, is equipped with 8 levels of traction control, 3 levels of ABS and 3 levels of Ride-by-Wire, linked to the Ducati Riding Modes that can be selected using the indicator.
