Chetan Maini To be Replaced By Arvind Mathew As CEO Mahindra Reva

Mahindra & Mahindra today announced that Chetan Maini, CEO, Mahindra Reva would be moving to a new and diversified role within the Group. He will be replaced by Arvind Mathew who will take on the reins of Mahindra's electric vehicle subsidiary. Both the roles of Chetan Maini as well as Arvind Mathew would be effective May 1, 2015.

    Mahindra & Mahindra today announced that Chetan Maini, CEO, Mahindra Reva would be moving to a new and diversified role within the Group. He will be replaced by Arvind Mathew who will take on the reins of Mahindra's electric vehicle subsidiary. Both the roles of Chetan Maini as well as Arvind Mathew would be effective May 1, 2015.

    Chetan has been at the forefront when it came to bringing in technology to the table and with the e2O he showed how much Mahindra can diversify in the field of automobiles. Maini will have a wider role in the Group and will be responsible for incubating new technology ventures and he will lead other technology initiatives of the Group. He will continue to be associated with Mahindra Reva and Formula-E Racing in an advisory capacity.

    Arvind Mathew comes to Mahindra with over two decades of experience with Ford Motor Company. He has played a major role in the development of new vehicle and power train program for Ford India and went on to become the President and Managing Director of Ford India in 2005.
