Highlights

It has been 5 years since the fifth-generation Volkswagen Polo arrived, and now Volkswagen is all set to give its popular hatchback an extensive revamp. Other than new three-cylinder petrol and diesel engines doing duty on the Polo, an infotainment system from the latest Golf along with a wide array of new technology has also been added to lend the little hatch a big car feel.
The sixth-generation Volkswagen Polo sports a considerable number of changes in its exterior styling. The headlights now use hexagonal LED elements, a chrome strip at the bottom of the grille that links both headlights, and an all new chin. The wraparound section also gets a metallic highlight that runs around the bottom of the fogs. The rear end of the car has received comparatively fewer changes, which include an all-new bumper and tail-lights.

The re-worked interiors also look charming, but we aren't yet sure if these changes will also make it to the Indian market. Volkswagen will hopefully launch the facelifted Polo in India around May 2014 with the same engines. The 1.2 TSI mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox will lead the range, which will also feature the 1.6 TDi diesel mill.
