Highlights

Unveiled in October 2013, the updated Hero Xterme has been finally launched in the country. The 2014 Xtreme is available in two trims - a front-only disc version and double disc brake (both front & rear), priced at Rs. 68,725 and Rs. 71,725 respectively.

The 2014 Xtreme looks more feature-rich with revised visor with integrated pilot lamps, dual finish exhaust muffler, new LED tail lamps, first-in-class under-seat mobile charger socket and a digital-analogue instrument cluster with an engine immobilizer and a side stand warning light. Both the trims have alloy wheels, which come as a standard feature.

Mechanically, the bike remains similar to its predecessor. It continues to derive power from the 150cc engine that churns out 14.2bhp and 12.8Nm combined with a five-speed transmission. The new Xtreme is available in four colours: Red, Blue, Orange and White.

The company is planning to launch the Xtreme Sports as well, which is a slightly more powerful version of the bike. The company had unveiled the Spotrs in January, this year.
