General Motors unveiled the all new Chevrolet Adra compact crossover at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, today. Though the car is in concept stage currently, but the model gives a preview of first compact crossover from General Motors.

Based on Chevrolet's global design philosophy, the all new Adra looks very stunning and spacious, which has exterior of an SUV and interior like a sedan. The crossover features a 'Chevy' signature front grille with bowtie, five spoke alloy wheels, chrome accents, a flat roof and a unique greenhouse. The high ground clearance offers an optimum ground visibility.

With an overall length of 4.2 metre, the crossover won't be able to avail the excise benefits offered by the Government of India. However, for launch the company might make it a sub-4 metre car.

The new Adra compact crossover has been developed by the General Motors R&D team at their technical centre in India. The Adra concept crossover will compete against the Renault Duster and Ford EcoSport compact SUVs, which are doing really good in terms of business.
