India's largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki India has so many vehicles on showcase at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. Out of all the vehicles displayed at the event, Maruti's new small hatchback Celerio was one car for which most were waiting, as it was scheduled for the launch at the event. The company launched the Celerio at a starting price of Rs 3.90 lakh, while the AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) version was launched at Rs 4.29 lakh (prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).

Other vehicles being put up on display by Maruti Suzuki India are Ciaz sedan and SX4 S-Cross. Although, both the vehicles are only concepts, they look very close to the production version. While the Ciaz will replace the existing SX4, the SX4 S-Cross will be a crossover version of the car.

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will be the first of the two concepts to make its way to India, as the company doesn't have any volume generator in the mid-sized sedan segment. The SX4, despite being a potent product never attracted buyers. And now when the competition is heated up with the entry of all new Honda City in diesel, India's leading carmaker needs a really good product to counter its rivals. What one can understand seeing the Ciaz concept is that the SX4 successor will have an entirely new look, and more premium interiors than the current SX4. Mechanically, the car might see no changes, it will continue to come with the existing 1.6-litre petrol and 1.3-litre multijet diesel engine, however, they can be tuned for more efficiency and power.

Maruti Suzuki SX4 S-Cross is basically the crossover version of the SX4 sedan, which we believe not to come anytime before 2015. Other than the Celerio, Ciaz and SX4 S-Cross, Maruti Suzuki India has also displayed different versions of its existing line-up such as Swift, Ritz, Ertiga, Dzire and Alto.
