Yamaha Saluto 125 Launched With Matt Green Colour; Priced At Rs. 53,600
Highlights
- The Saluto 125 gets new matt green paint job but no mechanical changes
- The Yamaha Saluto 125 was launched in the country in June 2015
- The new colour is available on both disc and drum brake versions
The Yamaha Saluto 125 arrived in the Indian market back in 2015 and faces competition from offerings like the Honda CB Shine, Hero Glamour, TVS Phoenix and the likes. The matt green colour option has been introduced to keep the model fresh for the upcoming festive season, which is highly awaited by all manufacturers.
Talking about the new colour option, the matt green paint scheme was first showcased at the Auto Expo this year, and has made its way across different Yamaha offerings including the new Ray-ZR as well as the much popular FZ-S FI V2.0. While the new colour scheme looks good on the model, we personally find it more appealing on the FZ.
That said, Yamaha isn't the only one to introduce special editions or now colour schemes around the festive season, the Honda CB Hornet 160R received new colours earlier this month, while expect more manufacturers to join bandwagon in the coming weeks.
Talking the about features, the Yamaha Saluto 125 continues with the same engine specifications, drawing power from a 125cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve engine tuned to produce 8.2bhp at 7000rpm and 10.1Nm of torque available at 4500rpm. The motor also comes equipped with Yamaha's Blue Core technology, which coupled with a light weight of 113 kg, helps the motorcycle to return a claimed mileage of 78 km/l. In fact, the Saluto 125 is one of the lightest offerings in its class.
