Highlights

Yamaha India had showcased the FZ-S concept at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, and now word has it that the company might unveil the bike's production-ready version on June 30th. Though Yamaha hasn't made an official statement about the launch, it has announced a conference on June 30 and stated that it will 'unveil a new chapter'.

Expected to look similar to the concept model, the new FZ-S will most probably replace the FZ. The larger part of the upgrades to the bike are cosmetic, including a redesigned headlamp, new silencer, new mudguard, reworked fuel tank and a different registration plate.

The FZ-S is likely to be powered by the same 153cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that does duty on the FZ and delivers 14bhp and 13.6Nm of torque. If rumours are to be believed, the company has also introduced a fuel-injection system and increased the power output.

More details about the upcoming Yamaha FZ-S will be revealed on June 30th. Stay tuned.
