2. 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 First Ride Review

Our test route on the Tiger 1200 Rally Pro included back roads with varying off-road surfaces; not very technical, but enough to keep things interesting and test the rider's skill and confidence with a bid adventure bike.

The new Triumph Tiger 1200 loses weight and truly shines in most of the terrain and conditions that it will be used in. As a full-sized adventure bike, it still has the bulk and size which will required muscle power and help, if you happen to tip it over. But it's a definite definite improvement over the outgoing model, and has all the qualities to take the challenge to the very best in its segment! The Tiger 1200 is certainly worth a consideration in the full-size adventure bike segment!

The Tiger Sport 660 has superb handling and balance. Grip and front-end feel are excellent, offering the Tiger Sport 660 a level of dynamics which is extremely enjoyable.

The Triumph Tiger Sport 660 offers an everyday bike which is agile, sporty and fun! It may not have the suspension or ride quality to take on rough terrain, and may show its limitations over broken roads and the occasional dirt track, but as a tarmac tourer, the new Tiger Sport 660 offers a very impressive package, which is compact, light, easy to manoeuvre and a whole lot of fun!

For newbie adventure riders, the 19-inch front wheel set-up actually makes the Scram feel easier to ride, more planted and easier to manoeuvre than the Himalayan. In fact, the Scram is quite a versatile and entertaining package for those seeking a do-it-all motorcycle.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411 offers a scrambler-esque take on the Royal Enfield Himalayan, with slightly less weight, a smaller 19-inch front wheel, and less bodywork! And it delivers in spades, as a fun, easy to ride motorcycle which is versatile, and can be used for a fair bit of off-road riding as well!
