The M3 Competition Sedan, M4 Competition Coupe, and M5 CS are vehicles celebrating this iconic legacy at BMW. They will also be accompanied by the 1000 RR safety bike from BMW, the first M model offered by BMW Motorrad. The racing avatar will be featuring in the Superbike World Championship.

The 2021 line-up of safety cars also has the BMW M8 Competition Coupe, M8 Competition Gran Coupe, and the X5 M Medical Car. The fleet of safety cars from BMW is a key aspect of the brand's association with the MotoGP and four new cars have debuted for the very first time as official MotoGP cars according to the brand, offering excellent driving dynamics and superior performance alike. Production models of these new safety vehicles have already been tailored for ensuring ideal driving performance and sportiness. Some minor tweaks have been done for enabling usage as safety cars. These include flashing lights in front, light bars, quick-release bonnet-latches, and shutoffs for emergency power for transportation purposes. Rear seats have also been taken out from the M4 Competition Coupe while a four point sports harness has been installed along with a roll-bar.
