Now, an Autocar UK report claims that the new Volkswagen Golf-based SUV will debut as a "lightly veiled concept" at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. Based on the Modular Transverse Matrix (MQB) platform, the two-door concept that debuted two years ago featured a new design line, LED headlights, and interior style, and came loaded with provisions such as front and rear cameras. The production model of the new Golf-based SUV will be a five-door car that will sport styling elements typical to the German carmaker. Inside, the Volkswagen T-ROC will borrow its dashboard and provisions such as an infotainment system with a 9.2-inch touchscreen, speech and gesture control, etc. from the new Volkswagen Golf.
