Highlights

Volkswagen has introduced the Lamando at the Chengdu Auto Show in China. Considering the spy shots doing the rounds on the internet, we are sure this is the production version of the company's New Midsize Coupe (NMC).

The NMC concept was first introduced at the Beijing MotorShow and the production version is called the Lamando. The Lamando is based on Volkswagen's MQB platform so it shares many of the internals with the seventh generation Golf.

The car will be manufactured locally by the Shanghai-Volkswagen joint venture and will go on sale this November. The company has not yet let out whether the car will be available in any of the global markets soon, but we are sure that India will see the Lamando soon.
