Uber Introduces The Option To Schedule Your Taxi Rides

- The pricing for Uber 'Scheduled Rides' is similar to the UberX services
- Users can cancel the ride anytime
- Users can schedule a ride from 30 mins to 30 days in advance
There's no denying the fact that ever since taxi service providers such as Uber and Ola have come into the picture, the commuting scenario around the world has become easier. Recently, Uber has introduced the 'Scheduled Rides' feature. This means that now customers can use the app and schedule their cab requirements in advance. The time window can be 30 minutes in advance to even 30 days in advance. This should come as a big relief for people who might have to catch a flight or attend a meeting across the town. All one needs to do is set the pick-up date, time of pick-up, location and destination.
(Uber 'Scheduled Ride' feature now available in India)The prices of the 'Uber Scheduled Rides' will be more or less similar to a UberX ride and of course, will be subject to the pricing condition prevailing at the time of the ride and not when the request for a cab is put in. Also, the company has said that the 'Surge Pricing' will apply to Uber Scheduled Rides as well. It is a policy wherein the company hikes the prices of cab services in times of high demand.

(Uber 'Scheduled Ride' feature will have a similiar pricing structure to the UberX services)
Users will be able to cancel the request any time, if needed be. The users can also cancel the ride after it has begun. If cancelled within 5 minutes of the beginning of the ride, there will be no cancellation fee applicable and after that, there will be a cancellation fee applicable.
